About Us
Goodie Bag Magazine is an independent digital and print publication spotlighting the underground music scene, festival culture, and the creatives who bring it to life. From interviews with emerging DJs to photo features and community coverage, we exist at the intersection of music, art, and self-expression.

Position: Creative / Editorial Intern
We’re looking for a passionate, culture-driven creative to join our team. This internship is perfect for someone who lives and breathes EDM, events, and visual storytelling, and wants to gain hands-on experience in creative media, publishing, and brand development.

What You’ll Do

  • Research and connect with local artists, DJs, and creatives for potential interviews or features

  • Assist in content creation for social media, blog posts, and digital campaigns

  • Support the editorial process through creative writing, editing, and brainstorming sessions

  • Help with event coverage — attending local shows, shooting behind-the-scenes content, capturing the crowd, and interviewing talent

  • Participate in Goodie Bag community events and creative meetings (hybrid/remote options available)

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong interest in the EDM / underground music industry

  • Knowledge of Canva Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, or InDesign

  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills; bonus if you’ve blogged or written about music before

  • Photography, videography, or editing experience is a plus

  • Professional, reliable, and comfortable representing the Goodie Bag brand at events

  • Must be San Diego–based or willing to travel locally for coverage

Details

  • Type: Internship / Part-Time (College credit or portfolio experience)

  • Location: San Diego + Hybrid / Remote

  • Duration: 3 months minimum (with potential to extend)
